Jade Jolie Nazi porn film apology receives mixed reactions

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jade Jolie has apologised for once appearing in a Nazi roleplay porn film that has resurfaced.

Jolie, 34, took to social media to express her regret over the scene, shot during her pre-drag porn career in the 2000s.

She tweeted her thanks to those who had recently held her accountable for the film.

“When I was in my youth, I was down on my luck financially and did adult film work to survive,” she wrote.

“During one of the shoots I was involved in, I was asked to portray a Nazi soldier in a scene.

“Against my better judgment and with an abusive partner pushing me to say yes, I chose to participate, and I have felt shame and regret for that decision every day.”

Jolie, who appeared in season five of Drag Race, said that shame had previously stopped her from speaking about and apologising for the film.

“I realise now that avoiding this is only more damaging to the Jewish community and the people who have been hurt by this,” she wrote.

“I take full accountability for my choices and understand that what I did was wrong, regardless of the circumstances.

“I do not support antisemitism, racism, or bigotry in any way, and I apologise sincerely to anyone who I have hurt.

“I hope moving forward I can show you that I’m not someone who is above taking accountability for the things I may be ashamed of.”

Jolie has recently been announced as a competitor on the next season of the horror drag show The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula.

Fans have had mixed reactions to her apology for the porn film, with some accepting the statement as sincere and others questioning whether it was a strategy to save public face as her next television appearance approaches.
